Job Summary
Breed Barn Lead oversees breeding/management programs for sows to maximize farrows and high-quality genetics; assists with gestation, diagnosis/treatment of bred sows, maintains production records, enforces biosecurity, analyzes production metrics, conducts onboarding and new-hire training, administers performance evaluations, and supports employee development while updating farm records; requires 1 year leading 2+ employees and a Bachelor’s degree; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; physically able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long hours; benefits include medical/dental, 401(k), profit sharing, disability, holidays, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience leading 2 or more employees
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, walk and be on feet for 9+ hrs./day
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat and kneel
- Must have reliable transportation
