Job Summary
Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Provide patient services and care while demonstrating knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists. Requires BLS certification; one year of breast experience is preferred. Must become registered with ARDMS within six months of employment. This PRN role is with Piedmont Newton Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)
- Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment
- Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment
- Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS)
- BLS certified
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of Breast experience preferred
- One (1) year of experience is preferred
- Registered ARDMS
- RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist)
