Job Summary
Prepare and consistently maintain the dining area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere, ensuring the highest quality product and service. Close out shifts by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day. Maintain safety and security practices with thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. Solve guest issues professionally while remaining service-minded and friendly. Work as a team member in cleaning, side work, food preparation, and storage. Complete brand standard documentation as required. Be available 24/7, including weekends and holidays, to greet guests and ensure meeting satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Pass appropriate security clearances
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to communicate with other associates and/or guests
- Knowledge of Menu items and beverage choices
- Knowledge of Standards of operation as required by brand
- Knowledge of Area shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions to assist guest inquiries
- Knowledge of Daily hotel operations, check daily events, bulletin boards are up to date on changes, new procedures and events
- Knowledge of Entire property, staff, services, hours of operation, type of room, locations, rates, discounts
- Service minded, friendly professional behavior
- Ability to Suggest and serve quality food and beverage items as per standards
- Ability to Multi task, remain associate and guest service centric
- Ability to Effectively communicate with guests, department heads, associates and home office support staff
- Ability to Solve guest issues with professionalism maintain hospitable attitude
- Ability to Work as a team member in aspects such as: cleaning, side work, food preparation and storage
- Physical presence at the hotel
- Availability on weekends
- Flexibility in regard to work schedule
- Availability 24/7, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food and beverage position
- Food Handling certification
