Job Summary
Prepare and consistently maintain the dining area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere. Close out shifts by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day. Ensure guests receive high-quality product and service while solving issues with a professional, hospitable attitude. Maintain safety and security practices, including thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. Complete brand standard documentation as required. Work as a team member in cleaning, side work, and food preparation and storage. Be flexible regarding work schedules, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 availability.
Required Qualifications
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Pass appropriate security clearances
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Menu items and beverage choices
- Knowledge of Standards of operation as required by brand
- Knowledge of Area shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions to assist guest inquiries
- Knowledge of Daily hotel operations, check daily events, bulletin boards are up to date on changes, new procedures and events
- Knowledge of Entire property, staff, services, hours of operation, type of room, locations, rates, discounts
- Service minded, friendly professional behavior
- Ability to Multi task, remain associate and guest service centric
- Ability to Effectively communicate with guests, department heads, associates and home office support staff
- Ability to Solve guest issues with professionalism maintain hospitable attitude
- Ability to Work as a team member in aspects such as: cleaning, side work, food preparation and storage
- Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to communicate with other associates and/or guests
- Physical presence at the hotel
- Availability on weekends
- Flexibility in regard to work schedule
- Availability 24/7, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food and beverage position
- Food Handling certification
