Job Summary
Prepare and consistently maintain the dining area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere. Close out shifts by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day. Ensure guests receive the highest quality product and service while solving issues with a professional, hospitable attitude. Work as a team member on cleaning, side work, food preparation, and storage. Maintain safety and security practices, including thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. Complete brand standard documentation as required. Be flexible in schedule, available 24/7, weekends, and holidays, and stand or walk for long periods while maintaining a friendly professional image.
Required Qualifications
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Security clearances
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Menu items and beverage choices
- Knowledge of Standards of operation as required by brand
- Knowledge of Area shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions to assist guest inquiries
- Knowledge of Daily hotel operations, check daily events, bulletin boards are up to date on changes, new procedures and events
- Knowledge of Entire property, staff, services, hours of operation, type of room, locations, rates, discounts
- Service minded, friendly professional behavior
- Ability to Multi task, remain associate and guest service centric
- Ability to Effectively communicate with guests, department heads, associates and home office support staff
- Ability to Solve guest issues with professionalism maintain hospitable attitude
- Ability to Work as a team member in aspects such as: cleaning, side work, food preparation and storage
- Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to communicate with other associates and/or guests
- Physical presence at the hotel
- Availability on weekends
- Flexibility in regard to work schedule
- Availability 24/7, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food and beverage position
- Food Handling certification
