Job Summary
Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments and assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. Ensure compliance with all daily operational procedures and maintain food and beverage safety based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications. Maintain communication with the General Manager, Department Managers, Supervisors, and staff. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
- Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- ServSafe and/or food safety training
- Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS)
Desired Qualifications
- some college preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
