Job Summary
Clear and sanitize breakfast room tables after each guest departure and prepare them for the next arrival. Set the breakfast buffet area daily according to brand directives and maintain it well-stocked and clean until the end of the shift. Fully clean the kitchen in accordance with the daily checklist upon completion of the breakfast period, ensuring all food safety measures align with local health codes. Greet guests happily by name upon arrival and throughout their stay while maintaining spotless workspaces in both front and back of the house. This role supports the breakfast service at Home2 Suites Tallahassee, contributing to MCR's standard of clean, friendly, and well-organized hotels for guests.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Effectiveness at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Desire to serve all guests
- Age of 18 years or older
- Willingness to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel
- Ability to arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time
- Ability to provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift
- Ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time)
- Ability to type on and operate computers and other office machinery or devices, do 10-key operation and data entry, dial a telephone, manually manipulate objects, handles, tools, and/or controls
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport food and beverage boxes of up to 25 pounds
- Ability to inspect and visually observe details at close range (within a few feet) and from long range
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language
