Job Summary
Greet and serve breakfast guests while maintaining buffet operations and resolving complaints. Set up and restock hot food items, keeping the area clean, sanitized, and stocked with supplies throughout service hours. Perform daily cleaning of the breakfast area and kitchen, including dishwashing and table resetting, while adhering to all health and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels, conduct monthly counts, and follow ordering guidelines to ensure adequate supplies. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly professional manner
- Resolve any guest complaints regarding the breakfast area
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all areas
- Remain available in the breakfast area during posted hours to ensure all guest needs are met
- Follow all Federal, State, and Local health and safety procedures at all times including wearing gloves, hand washing, food temperatures, and storage
- Complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, and health and safety
- Ensure that all OSHA, State, and Federal guidelines for chemical, fire, health, and safety are being followed
- Remain professional in appearance at all times following brand uniform requirements
- Demonstrate good communication skills and convey information and ideas
- Participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment
- Holds an understanding of hotel products and services (i.e., food and beverage, recreation)
- Ability to communicate with hotel staff, guests, and management in a professional manner
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Read, write and speak English
- Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures
- Neat, well-groomed appearance including wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- High school education
- Complete food service training as required
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year hospitality or food service experience (Preferred)
