Job Summary
Prepare food up to DHEC and Charlestowne Hotels standards, including setup and breakdown of lobby receptions, plated food presentation, and food displays. Manage inventory of incoming orders, perform daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and china, and execute weekly detail projects to maintain an orderly kitchen and reception space. Oversee meeting and event setups, ensure the kitchen is turned over in top condition to the next shift, and handle room dining deliveries timely. Maintain a courteous, hospitable demeanor while working under pressure with large guest crowds, adhering to all regulatory policies and dress codes. Report to work at scheduled times, neatly groomed, and ready to prioritize tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent, professional communication skills
- Positive attitude and the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Ability to work under pressure or in the presence of a large guest crowd during offered guest receptions and maintain a courteous and hospitable demeanor and attitude throughout
- Ability to maintain a courteous and hospitable demeanor and attitude towards all: guests, peers, management without regard of home department, position and/ or heritage
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
- Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes
- Flexibility to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in regulation with company dress code policy
- Adherence to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30pounds without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
