Job Summary
Pull and expedite all phases of wholesale bread orders safely, accurately, and efficiently. Slice, package, and maintain accurate counts of products while operating bread and bun slicers to meet quality and pace expectations. Perform quality control, cull unusable loaves, and record losses. Communicate critical information regarding equipment issues, supply concerns, maintenance needs, and product shortages to the Expeditor Coordinator or Manager. Keep delivery and expediting areas clean and orderly while following HACCP training and food safety goals. Report all injuries and workplace hazards promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Working knowledge of and ability to speak and understand basic English required
- Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card at all times
- Must demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days and being on time
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to function calmly and efficiently in high-pressure, multi-task, deadline-driven environment
- Schedule flexibility and the ability to work weekends and holidays is required
- Lifting 50 lbs
- Carrying 50 lbs
- Standing for 100% of the shift
- Walking up to the equivalent of two miles per shift
- Working in warm environments
- Exposure to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye, corn, oat)
Desired Qualifications
