Job Summary
The Barrett Petfood Full Time Quality Supervisor in Brainerd, MN leads QA initiatives and oversees QA Technicians to ensure products meet high standards. Responsibilities include managing Quality Systems (SOPs/SSOPs/GMPs) and SQF compliance, conducting internal audits, overseeing laboratory testing and data analysis, coordinating vendor compliance and batch record reviews, supporting product release and deviation investigations, and training/onboarding QA staff while managing scheduling and timekeeping. The role requires strong leadership and communicative abilities, proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, and email, and a solid understanding of instrumentation testing for protein, moisture, fat, and microbiological tests. A bachelor’s degree in food science or related field (or comparable experience) and experience with SQF or other GFSI programs are highly desired.
