Job Summary
Independent evaluator or evaluation team to design, plan and conduct the interim evaluation of the Marajó Resiliente Project in Pará, Brazil, funded by the Green Climate Fund. The assignment requires rigorous, evidence-based analysis using a mixed-methods approach, including desk review, qualitative interviews, focus groups, fieldwork in the Marajó territory, sampling design, data triangulation, and adherence to ethical safeguarding and data protection standards. Deliverables include inception/work plan, initial findings presentation, draft final report, final report, and revisions post-GCF comments, with a focus on accountability, learning, adaptive management, gender equity, youth, race/ethnicity, territoriality and sustainability. The evaluator will work independently, ensure impartiality, and coordinate with Fundación Avina and stakeholders across Brazil, particularly Belém, Cachoeira do Arari, Soure, and Salvaterra, Pará, between 2024 and 2026, in English and Portuguese.
Required Qualifications
