Job Summary
Braze Auditor role at Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI (2nd shift). Inspect braze joints and brazing processes to ensure compliance with specifications, write audit/inspection reports, and develop quality control monitoring protocols. Participate in training to become a braze coach. Responsibilities include identifying nonconformance, performing process audits along production lines, reviewing defective parts, entering nonconforming material data, supporting containment actions, writing evidence-based reports, attending daily meetings, and performing brazing operations with torches and related equipment. Requires reading blueprints, setting up joints, cleaning, selecting brazing alloy, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Strong emphasis on teamwork, problem-solving, safety, and ability to work all hours. Minimum education and brazing/welding experience required; proficient in MS Office and capable of contributing to continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of brazing or welding experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands, and lift up to 20 pounds
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
