Job Summary
Hybrid Brand & Storytelling Lead responsible for defining Kaizen's external brand strategy and building a recognizable presence across government, tech, and the public life sphere. Own the content engine across editorial content, short films, website, social channels, and executive storytelling; write and produce executive communications; collaborate with sales and proposals; manage external vendors and contractors; report directly to co-founders and shape Kaizen's long-term brand narrative from NYC-based hybrid work.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years building brand and content at a company where the brand actually mattered
- Portfolio showing range across editorial content, brand systems, and video storytelling; portfolio link required as part of application
- Strong writing skills; ghost-writing for executives; producing editorial content that earns an audience
- Comfort operating as a one-person function with contractors underneath you
- AI-native workflow and ability to scale output with tools
- Experience coordinating with sales/proposals on assets to win contracts
- Experience managing external vendors/contractors (PR firms, video production, freelancers)
- Ability to define and execute external brand strategy across multiple channels
