Job Summary
Lead and manage a team to deliver sales, service, and client experience objectives while driving branch financial performance through revenue growth and deeper client relationships. Oversee daily branch operations, including cash handling, security, and transaction adherence, to ensure efficiency and control. Monitor and mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal policy requirements. Analyze branch performance data to identify gaps and implement improvements across people, processes, and systems. Requires a Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Banking, Finance, or Business Management, plus 3 to 4 years of frontline banking experience leading teams. This role supports Standard Bank Group's mission to create growth in Africa by delivering a consistent, client-centric banking experience.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF6 FAIS recognised qualification) in Banking, Finance, Business Management or a related field
- FAIS Representative status
- 3 to 4 years' experience in a frontline banking environment, with strong exposure to sales, service delivery and client engagement
- Proven experience leading or coordinating a frontline team to deliver on sales, service, operational and client experience objectives
- Experience managing team performance, coaching and development, while supporting people processes in partnership with Human Capital
- Strong working knowledge of branch operations, risk controls, compliance requirements, cash handling and banking processes
