Job Summary
Branch Support Specialist provides general branch support across multiple locations, including order fulfillment, counter assistance, material handling, warehousing tasks, and back-up delivery duties. Responsibilities include filling customer orders, receiving and shelving material, loading/unloading trucks, performing cycle counts, assisting with deliveries when needed, operating a forklift/pallet jack as required, maintaining clean and safe workspaces, answering phones and handling customer inquiries, and contributing to sales efforts with ethical customer service. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to company values, ongoing product knowledge, and clear communication with customers and colleagues to ensure a positive branch experience. Travel to local branches is reimbursed, supporting operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to accurately and timely fill customer orders
- Experience or ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Ability to perform cycle counts accurately
- Licensing and medical clearance as applicable for vehicle operation
- Strong customer-service orientation and communication skills
- Ability to assist customers at the counter and respond to inquiries
- Proficiency in data entry and use of company software for orders/inventory
- Flexibility to travel to local branch locations as needed
- Team player with a professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain warehouse organization and safety practices
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with basic inventory management and possibly sales support
- Physical ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs as needed
