Job Summary
Process financial transactions, maintain accurate member records, and support account services including notary, IRA, wire transfers, and direct deposits. Accurately process teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing while balancing cash and work daily. Manage cash and coin inventory, verify currency, and ensure workstation security in compliance with operational standards. Assist members with account inquiries, ATM access, and fraud claims while cross-selling products and referring members to specialized services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union procedures and uphold cultural standards of inclusion and psychological safety in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of financial services in customer or member-facing roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Positive, professional communication style
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrates empathy and responsiveness in a service setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and branch systems
- Ability to use cash recyclers, adding machines, and standard office technology
- Ability to process high volumes efficiently and accurately
- Must be able to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods
- Lifting of up to 25 pounds may occasionally be required
Desired Qualifications
- Six months of cash handling experience in a financial or customer service setting
- Bilingual
- Cash recycler trained
