Job Summary
Process loan applications, open new memberships, and handle teller transactions including cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, and account maintenance. Listen to identify member needs, ask questions, and cross-sell products like Credit Life and GAP to build loyal relationships. Complete paperwork and signatures accurately while resolving complaints using a consultative approach. Balance drawers and checks at the end of day, occasionally supporting the Call Center. Requires 6 months of teller or retail sales experience; base hourly pay starts at $18.65 with medical, dental, and vision benefits on the first day.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience as a teller in a financial institution or as a retail sales representative/cashier
- Either 2 years retail sales experience, or Associate degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or Finance, or 1 year of member/customer facing experience within financial services
- At least 21 years old
- Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area in order to support other branches as business needs require
- Exposed to potentially hazardous condition, such as robbery
