Job Summary
Provide technical product knowledge and training to branch sales representatives while coordinating price and delivery quotes via telephone, email, and fax. Sells company products and services by building relationships and tailoring approaches to customer needs, including pursuing sales and expediting parts when account representatives are unavailable. Facilitates large quotes over 100 line items, processes customer orders into the sales database, and monitors delivery dates and product quality. Researches prospective leads to expand the account base and prepares activity reports on territory performance. Resolves customer credit issues with the Regional Credit Manager and participates in the Total Quality process to reduce sales errors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree with one to three years of sales experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Local or willing to relocate at their own expense
- Exceptional knowledge of company products and services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, proportions and percentages
- Ability to write reports and correspondence proficiently and professionally
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and make responsible decisions
- Working knowledge of company policies, procedures and computer systems
