Branch Sales Associate Part-Time Anchorage, AK

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and easily connect with walk-in customers by using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. Throughout the day, you will shift focus from assisting customers to perform a variety of warehouse tasks. You will report to the Branch Manager. You will manage the entire customer experience including product selection, order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles; look for opportunities to increase sales and loyalty; adapt your communication for email, phone, or in-person; pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders; prepare backorders and stock put-away; assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment; perform inventory counts; learn and navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities; perform housekeeping to meet Grainger standards; follow safety guidelines and wear PPE. You should be flexible to work any time within branch hours, be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted (and heavier with assistance), and learn to operate powered industrial equipment.
