Branch Safety Engineer

Job Summary
Branch Safety Engineer role to train and coach workers to ensure compliance with PCI Target Zero Accident Prevention Plan, conduct job-site inspections and audits, promote safe work practices, investigate and report injuries, and serve as liaison between the company and clients on site safety management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management or related field (or comparable experience) and at least 2 years of construction safety experience. Proficiency in MS Office, ability to read specifications/drawings, strong communication and team skills, knowledge of OSHA/MSHA/EPA regs, and safety certifications (preferred). Not eligible for visa sponsorship; located in Pasadena/Houston, TX area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, a related discipline, or comparable work experience
- Must have at least 2 years' experience working in construction safety
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
- Strong customer service skills and an ability to build lasting client relationships
- Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities
- General knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials used in the construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and construction safety standards
