Job Summary
Manage daily driver route assignments and ensure Service Technicians comply with DOT regulations while meeting revenue goals and budgeted expenses. Conduct monthly vehicle inspections, perform up to four route observations, and maintain an on-hand inventory of supplies to minimize downtime. Lead emergency response protocols, troubleshoot equipment issues with drivers, and monitor performance feedback consistently. Ensure drivers and vehicles adhere to safety standards and professional image requirements while coordinating with vendors, the Fleet maintenance team, and other departments. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork including logs and payroll reports. Requires on-call nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience
- Transportation industry experience
- Auto maintenance experience
- Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of CDL regulations
- Knowledge of multiple types of trucks
- Must be able to drive when emergencies arise
- Must be able to train and develop employees
- Must be able to solve problems, resolve differences, and prioritize and multi-task
- Must be familiar with standard Company practices and procedures when assigning routes or taking customer calls
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
