Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day operation of the branch under the branch manager's direction, supervising inside sales staff and the warehouse manager. Drive branch profitability through P&L management and assist with all operational tasks, including warehouse processes, physical inventory, fleet management, payroll, bank deposits, cycle counts, and daily reporting. Serve as the primary leader for customer service opportunities and issues, while searching for ways to improve branch operations and sales. Utilize the company's inventory management network to coordinate activities across all Lansing branches.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced manager and supervisor with the ability to motivate subordinates
- High integrity and energy while working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with building products either as a salesperson or in senior warehouse roles
- Ability to meet -- and reach -- personal goals
- Strong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous jobs or by education
- Excellent interpersonal skills -- the ability to work one-on-one with customers and the ability to resolve sensitive business-related issues
- Strong computer knowledge
- All-around business professional with exceptional telephone etiquette
- Competitor with a hunger for success and the willingness to go the extra mile
- Strong communication and social skills
- Heavy lifting -- up to 70 pounds -- may be required on occasion
