Job Summary
Branch Operations Manager I responsible for the administration and daily operation of the entire branch, including branch service levels, training, cash management, security, safety, business continuity, sales referrals, and teller line management. Provide superior member service by performing member service transactions per VACU policies, assess members’ financial needs to refer products/services, act as acting Branch Manager in their absence, and coach direct reports (Lead Teller and Tellers) to achieve operational and sales goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and enterprise training. Promote a positive work environment, develop staff through appraisals and development plans, ensure sound operational controls, and maintain knowledge of BSA, OFAC, and Information Security requirements. May occasionally fill in at another branch; notary and signature guarantee rules must be followed; focus on loyalty-building member relationships and cross-sell of products and services.
Required Qualifications
- College graduate with concentration in business
- significant experience with a financial institution with emphasis on branch supervisory/management
- notary and signature guarantee certification (required)
- ability to sit/stand for long periods (physical requirements)
