Job Summary
Interview loan applicants in branch and over the phone, preparing applications by collecting necessary information for submission and sending disclosures within three business days. Run loans through the secondary market underwriting system for initial decisions, analyze credit, verify income, and lock mortgages with investors. Pre-qualify members on maximum loan amounts, advise on counteroffers, and re-price loans based on scenario changes. Work with the Mortgage Loan Processor to facilitate the process, answer lending questions, and recommend Blaze products to maintain an active pipeline. Comply with applicable laws and regulations while exhibiting Blaze's core values.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high School degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years similar or related financial experience
- Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) qualifier (i.e. registration number)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to sit and stand
- Ability to answer calls
- Ability to operate computer
- Ability to interact with internal employees and members on the phone
- Ability to travel to designated offices
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Regular and predictable attendance
