Job Summary
Provide effective member service by building rapport, uncovering needs, and recommending tailored solutions for deposit accounts, consumer loans, and mortgages. Open new member accounts, service existing accounts, and perform maintenance tasks such as audits and product add-ons while safeguarding member information. Collaborate across branches and departments to facilitate the best outcomes, utilizing delivery channels including telephone, email, and video conferencing. Complete branch reporting, balancing, and onboarding plans while adhering to NCUA, SAFE Act, and BSA compliance requirements. Demonstrate flexibility in roles ranging from teller operations to mortgage loan support and external event representation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months related experience working in a financial retail environment
- Two to three years of direct retail sales experience
- Cash handling experience
- Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate verbally clearly and effectively
- Ability to communicate in writing
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator
- Ability to type and perform data entry
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and reach with hands and arms occasionally
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Close vision
- Ability to adjust focus
- Current registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator in compliance with the SAFE Act
- Series 30 certification
- Membership Officer certification
- Notary certification
- Lending Authority certification
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Anti Money Laundering Act
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA)
- Ability to monitor for illegal activity
