Job Summary
Prepare annual budgets for branch profit and loss and capital asset acquisition; assume complete responsibility for the branch Income Statement and Balance Sheet performance to budget. Oversee branch fleet, facility management, marketing, sales, human resources, and finance administration while ensuring staff operate within budgetary bounds. Establish contacts with local agencies, developers, and property managers to obtain work and enhance public relations. Develop and implement best practices in technology, field operations, LEAN, and sales; recruit, hire, develop, and terminate personnel. Approve estimates, sign contracts, negotiate vendor pricing, and arrange special credit agreements. Recruit, hire, develop, and terminate line and staff personnel through the chain of command. Assign sales and field-dedicated vehicles and other capital equipment. Report weekly on sales trends and daily on injuries or accidents. Maintain and build a robust network of subcontractors and service providers. Develop long-term relationships with key clients, inspect properties to monitor performance, and ensure existing accounts are renewed annually. Coordinate and manage client service teams to achieve operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and insurability
- Three years experience in a consultative selling environment, with verifiable results
- Three years experience in the landscaping or facility services industry
- Complete knowledge of branch office functions, geographic responsibilities and customer assignments
- Ability to communicate from any location and be available to travel to each of the areas with a high degree of flexibility
- Ability to generate solutions that are on point, creative, and that stay consistent with the brand image of the company
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of computer software (Asset, Windows, XP and Microsoft Office), computer hardware and computer servers
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
