Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day lab operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency. Monitor production, turnaround times, and team performance while providing weekly and monthly operational reports. Maintain a safe, compliant work environment adhering to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct quarterly in-person customer site visits, build strong relationships, and collaborate with sales teams to evaluate business opportunities. Manage branch P&L, including budgeting, expense control, and financial analysis to ensure profitability. Lead, mentor, and develop technicians and support staff through coaching, training, and performance reviews. Participate in internal and external audits, address nonconformities, and resolve escalated calibration challenges.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a technical or operations-focused environment
- at least 2-5 years of leadership experience
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
Desired Qualifications
- Military PMEL/TMDE/GPETE training
- Associate's Degree in Electronics or related technical field
- Hands-on experience calibrating test and measurement equipment
- Ability to educate on calibration services
- ASQ CCT certification or equivalent training
- Exposure to budgeting, quoting, or cost control
- P&L or operational management experience
