Job Summary
Branch Manager for a hardware/builders merchant in Galway. Responsible for overall branch performance including sales, profitability, operations, and team leadership; driving revenue, margins, and customer-focused service. Key duties include delivering sales and gross profit targets, pricing discipline, stock control, credit management, branch budgeting, health & safety compliance, and developing a high-performing team. Requires proven branch management experience, strong commercial and P&L ownership, deep knowledge of building materials, leadership ability, and excellent communication with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Benefits include salary circa €65k-€85k (DOE), annual bonus, company car, life & health insurance, pension, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Proven Branch Management experience within Hardware/Builders Merchants or similar
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility
- Deep understanding of building materials and trade customers
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong operational and organisational capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
