Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations across mitigation and reconstruction divisions for an established disaster restoration branch, managing a team of 40–50 employees. Maintain 24/7 emergency response readiness, close mitigation files within 30 days, and enforce strict work-in-progress discipline to prevent reconstruction backlogs from stalling. Own critical relationships with adjusters, agents, plumbers, and property managers while setting standards for safety, documentation, and estimating integrity. Build and develop managers within the team to ensure retention in a competitive labor market.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in restoration or insurance repair
- 3 years running a branch, division, or team
- Knowledge of Xactimate
- Understanding of TPA scorecards
- Experience fighting (politely) with a carrier over a supplement
- Ability to read a WIP report and identify lying data
- Experience hiring, training, and keeping technicians
- Comfort being the person the phone finds at 2 a.m. when a CAT event hits
