Job Summary
Branch Manager – Savanna la Mar leads the Retail Banking branch to drive growth and profitability, ensures excellent client service, coaches supervisory staff, develops sales strategies, oversees lending activities in line with bank policies, and manages performance, training, and reporting. Key responsibilities include managing staff, promoting bank products, developing business plans, overseeing consumer loans, ensuring policy compliance, and delivering high-quality customer service. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Banking or related field, several years of banking leadership and supervisory experience, strong selling and coaching abilities, credit and operations knowledge, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking/AICB Diploma, Finance, Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution
- Seven (7) years’ experience in a bank or Financial Institution with at least 4 years of Sales leadership experience
- At least 4 years’ experience at the Supervisory/Managerial level
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Strong management and selling skills
- Effective Coaching skills
- Excellent Selling/Negotiating skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent human relations skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to produce reports
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures as they affect Branch functions
- Thorough knowledge of current supervisory and managerial techniques
- Experience in credit analysis and the administration of a lending portfolio would be an asset
