Job Summary
Directly oversees branch operations and personnel, focusing on supervising staff, coaching and evaluating performance, hiring decisions, and salary considerations. Drives sales by maximizing branch staff performance, conducts daily huddles, and fosters a customer-centric, team-oriented environment. Develops individual development plans, supports the universal banker model, and ensures regulatory compliance, proper staffing, payroll administration, and adherence to policies. Leads monthly operational meetings, manages risk controls (fraud mitigation, BSA/regulatory reporting), and maintains security procedures. Coordinates community engagement and evaluates branch performance against dashboards and targets. Requires strong leadership, supervisory experience, and extensive knowledge of bank products, services, and banking software.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Four-year degree in business or related field preferred but not required
- Minimum three to five years bank operations experience
- Experience as an Associate Manager preferred (at least one year)
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and build rapport with management and subordinates
- Expert-level knowledge of Bank products, services, and delivery channels, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to achieve sales, service and soundness goals
- Ability to identify, investigate and resolve customer accounts/transactions and employee conflicts
- Strong leadership skills including coaching and development plans
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of branch market conditions and ability to develop branch marketing, business development, and sales plans
