Job Summary
Lead and develop a branch team to achieve financial objectives through growth and retention of personal and business banking portfolios; coach and strengthen customer relationships through coaching, training and observation; manage risk and ensure adherence to bank policies and procedures; oversee implementation of policies and initiatives while driving sales management and relationship-building to deliver an exceptional client experience. Requires people management experience, banking experience in personal and small business segments, a mutual funds license, CIFP Diploma or equivalent, and education to assume Branch Compliance Officer responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a people manager
- Experience in both personal and small business banking
- Solid sales management experience and the ability to market Scotiabank
- The ability to build strong relationships focused on providing a great client experience and growing relationships with existing customers
- A license to sell mutual funds
- Successfully completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or Bank recognized equivalent)
- Completed the educational requirements needed to assume the role of Branch Compliance Officer
