Job Summary
Site/Branch Manager overseeing the safe, compliant, and profitable operation of an assigned Birmingham, AL branch. Leads all daily branch activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and customer service; partners with Supply Chain on inventory accuracy and efficiency; drives Lean-based improvements (Lean, 5S) to reduce waste and maintain a clean, organized workplace; manages labor, overtime, and expenses to meet financial targets; tracks key metrics (inventory turns, shrinkage, fill rate, CPU, profitability) and develops corrective action plans; mentors and leads a high-performing team and collaborates with Sales to support market growth and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or branch operations, with prior leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of safety, inventory management, labor planning, and cost control
- Experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze operational and financial metrics and translate data into action
- Proficiency with standard business systems and Microsoft Office tools
