Job Summary
Oversee daily branch operations, sales, and service culture while leading the team to exceed goals and maintain compliance with state, federal, and internal policies. Delegate work, manage staffing, conduct performance appraisals, and coach team members on Credit Union programs and procedures. Monitor transaction volumes, loan activity, and sales metrics to identify growth opportunities, then proactively develop new relationships with community organizations and members. Independently resolve member complaints and ensure adequate coverage for all branch functions, including teller and member service representative duties. Represent the Credit Union through volunteer community efforts and encourage staff participation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in leading a team to meet and exceed sales and service goals
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Knowledge of Credit Union policies
- Ability to exercise administrative control over day-to-day functions
- Ability to delegate and assign work
- Ability to exercise management authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and salary recommendations
- Ability to communicate in a manner consistent with professional standards
- Ability to effectively interview, hire, train, coach and motivate a branch team
- Ability to set performance goals, provide feedback and recognition
- Ability to identify areas where additional internal or external training is needed
- Ability to monitor branch activity and performance including number of transactions, errors, loan volume, sales, new accounts
- Ability to make appropriate and effective decisions and exercise sound judgement
- Ability to independently resolve issues and complaints
- Ability to ensure adequate coverage for all positions within the branch
- Ability to fill in for all aspects of branch functions which include Teller and Member Service Representative duties
- Ability to ensure branch compliance with governmental and regulatory agencies and credit union laws, regulations, policies and procedures
