Branch Manager: Lake Odessa Branch

Job Summary

Lead the Lake Odessa branch by establishing a financially successful office that delivers value and exceptional service to the community. Build relationships with staff, provide monthly coaching and mentorship, and conduct performance appraisals using PFCU's management software. Manage branch operations, including payroll, inventory, security exercises, and compliance with federal regulations. Assist in recruitment, monitor transaction volumes and cross-selling metrics, and represent the credit union at community events. Ensure all employees understand service standards and product knowledge while maintaining a secure, welcoming environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Two-year college degree or completion of specialized certification in a similar or related field
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience as an Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, or equivalent leadership role
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, members, and the general public
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Capability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations
  • Excellent knowledge of the credit union's core system
  • Excellent working knowledge of the forms and documentation used by the credit union
  • Strong knowledge of credit union products and services
  • Excellent understanding of the Credit Union departments and procedures
  • Punctual, self-motivated, confident and accurate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Able to stay calm under pressure
  • Professional attitude; supportive management
  • Neat and professional in appearance and dress
  • Ability to create good word of mouth; proven ability to effectively refer products and services
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment to sufficiently perform all job duties
  • Good typing skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified in Financial Counseling
  • Ability to assist with computer functions
  • Knowledge of basic hardware configurations and routine software troubleshooting
