Job Summary
Create a customer-centric environment by building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor for complex financial needs. Inspire and motivate team members through coaching, recognition, and performance assessments while developing succession plans and recruiting talent. Identify sales opportunities to grow market share by networking with business owners, conducting needs assessments, and offering banking solutions. Establish clear sales goals, manage team performance, and ensure the effective use of the sales process from prospecting to follow-up. Maintain active community involvement to network and develop the brand, while demonstrating public speaking skills for marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- at least six years of related experience and/or training
- a minimum of three years of management experience
- proven leadership capabilities
- strength in coaching
- ability to serve as a mentor to more junior peers and colleagues
- existing relationships with business community
- proven ability to turn networking opportunities into business development
- general understanding of banking financials to include income statement and balance sheet
- ability to manage the elements of each [income statement and balance sheet] that are within the incumbent's control and authority
- ability to recommend financial services solutions based upon needs identified through clients' financial statement analysis
- active community involvement and membership in appropriate local civic groups
- strong public speaking skills
- ability to exhibit strong public speaking skills for sales, management, and marketing of the Salem Five brand in the community
- ability to lead and encourage staff support of retail events in all markets
