Job Summary
Branch Manager I oversees branch operations, supervises tellers and new accounts personnel, and ensures adherence to bank policies while driving customer service and sales goals. Responsibilities include coordinating coverage, conducting audits and compliance checks, enabling cross-selling and product presentations to meet branch targets, managing loan origination and processing, preparing and analyzing reports, and developing staff through effective communication and delegation. The role requires leadership in a high-volume banking environment, strong customer relations, and the ability to supervise and train branch staff to achieve profitability and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience (0-5 years of management experience)
- Knowledge & Experience: intermediate knowledge of bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations; other bank operational policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to work with minimal supervision
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license; ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands and fingers
- Ability to work hours as required
