Job Summary
Branch Manager responsible for all office management duties at the Virginia Beach sales office, including recruitment, retention, and training of sales associates, supervising staff, and managing the office P&L. The role also ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, promotes affiliated company businesses, maintains a productive professional office environment, and participates in community activities and real estate boards. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business (or equivalent experience), six+ years of managerial experience with at least three years in real estate, and a current real estate license/broker license with continuing education credits. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, project-management, and organizational skills are required, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field with advanced professional management training; or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
- Six+ years of demonstrated managerial and supervisory experience with a minimum of Three+ years of Real Estate Experience/background.
- Prior supervisory/management experience is preferable as is experience in the location where the office is located.
- Extensive experience in handling real estate transactions; knowledge of legal obligations of Realtors under state and federal laws, Department of Commerce Rules & Regulations, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics.
- Knowledge and Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities; sound human-relational skills involved in recruiting, training and managing performance of people; conflict/change management skills.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently. Strong organizational skills with a high degree of quality and detail orientation.
- High degree of integrity; knowledgeable of the technical skills related to real estate; must possess financial skills to manage the operational budget.
- Ability to work independently and under extreme deadline pressure; resourceful and action-oriented.
- Ability to define and shape strategy, yet possess a strong tactical orientation in order to obtain results.
- Must be a licensed Realtor and broker with continuing education credits in real estate and management.
- Must have real estate experience and a license consistent with the regulations in the state where the office is located.
- Must meet all continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the license
