Job Summary
Lead a campus-based program at UNR as Branch Manager/Head Coach, overseeing a Reno community branch while building and guiding a team of Peer Financial Guides (undergraduates) to develop financial literacy and career pathways. Deliver workshops on money topics (first paychecks, credit, housing, predatory lending, NIL banking for athletes), coach and train student employees, and partner with UNR faculty to embed financial life skills into courses. Live on campus and engage with orientation, move-in, campus events, and career activities while balancing branch operations, compliance, risk, scheduling, budgets, and member service standards across both locations. Drive student member growth, debit card adoption, credit builder enrollments, workshop volume, faculty partnerships, and NIL relationships, all while maintaining the non-traditional campus model and ensuring long-term outcomes for students through development and mentorship. Mastery of presenting, relationship-building, and the ability to translate financial concepts into accessible language for 18-year-olds is essential, as is coordinating with university stakeholders and the wider Rize team to scale the model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership of a team — paid staff, volunteers, students, or a meaningful program
- Strong written and verbal communication; presentation skills are not optional
- Ability to learn financial products, compliance frameworks, and core banking systems quickly
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends — campus life doesn’t run 9 to 5
- Travel within the Reno market and occasional travel to Rize HQ and partner campuses
