Job Summary

Branch Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego overseeing daily branch operations across program/service management, budget/finance, outreach, development, facilities, and personnel. Lead staff and volunteers, ensure safety and program standards, develop annual strategic plans, manage program data and outcomes, recruit and retain members, collaborate with Senior VP on outreach and events, oversee community partnerships and fundraising efforts, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Requires a four-year degree (or equivalent experience) and several years of relevant nonprofit leadership experience; strong budget, fundraising, communication, and supervision skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and data management; California-based operations with a focus on youth development and healthy lifestyles.

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience working in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
  • Management skill to develop and implement long-range and operational plans and to identify and effectively coordinate resources to meet program needs; working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management; skills in fund-raising events.
  • Aptitude to work well under pressure with multiple time constraints and changing deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills to effectively lead, motivate, manage staff and evaluate the efforts of staff in the accomplishment of program goals; delegate and reassign tasks, monitor production and quality of work, set performance standards, assess individual capabilities and workloads, conduct performance evaluations, and mediate conflicts.
  • Solid analytical skills for identifying areas for improvement and developing innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite; (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience in scheduling and maintaining multiple calendars in Microsoft Outlook. Verified knowledge in database system management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated skills in facilities management, planning and implementing fund-raising events, and volunteer management.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills and experience conducting training, workshops, and seminars to various audiences.
  • Knowledge of coaching strategies, and program evaluation techniques.
  • Ability to effectively work with members, including discipline problems.
