Job Summary
Guide, coach, and manage a retail banking branch team to deliver exceptional service, meet profitability goals, and foster a culture aligned with BMO values. Develop and execute a branch business plan to maximize growth, wallet share, and customer retention while creating innovative strategies to minimize operating losses. Conduct cold calls, maintain a strong community network, and resolve complex customer issues using in-depth knowledge of banking products, regulations, and operational processes. Monitor sales performance, analyze data to drive decision-making, and lead the implementation of new programs and national initiatives. Manage unit operating expenses, provide technical training to employees, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including anti-money laundering protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services
- In-depth knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings
- In-depth knowledge of all branch operational processes and policies
- In-depth knowledge of branch technologies, processes, and performance metrics
- In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations, audit standards, and related policies, procedures, and directives
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
