Job Summary
Teach children in a fun, skill-based art environment with high teacher-student ratios, delivering engaging programmes tailored to individual needs during term time and interactive holiday art sessions. Manage studio operations including ordering materials, mentoring the team, and tracking growth while fostering local community connections. Continuously evaluate student progress to prepare personalised learning plans and maintain safe, nurturing standards through strict adherence to child safeguarding and H&S policies. Full-time role with fixed term-time hours (Tuesday–Saturday) and adjusted holiday schedules, starting 12/10/2026. Salary is £30,000–£33,288 per annum plus performance bonuses. art-K is the UK's largest private art education service, supporting over 8,000 children weekly to develop artistic skills and mental well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Holds an art degree or equivalent experience across a range of artistic mediums
- Has experience teaching or working with children in an educational or creative setting
- Possesses strong communication skills, including the ability to empathise with others, to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Exhibits a positive, proactive attitude and works well both independently and as part of a team
- Available to work the full schedule
- Able to start on the specified start date
- Ability to share commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
- Ability to complete all pre-appointment checks satisfactorily
Desired Qualifications
