Job Summary
Branch Manager responsible for overseeing daily store operations in a Craigsville, WV Airgas retail shop. The role emphasizes driving sales and margins, delivering strong customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. The position includes leading and training inside sales associates, conducting performance reviews, coordinating with Human Resources and senior management, supporting outside sales in nurturing client relationships and new business opportunities, and managing financial processes such as cash handling, pricing, cost reporting, and PO management. The role requires lifting up to 75–125 lbs with equipment, proficiency with computers, prioritization across multiple tasks, and effective communication to bridge staff and management. Preferred qualifications include experience in welding, gas, or safety industries, and a track record in team growth, sales, inventory cultivation, and vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Previous management experience in a customer facing environment
- Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
- Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools
- The ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently
- Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management
