Job Summary
Branch Director at YMCA oversees overall facility management, staff leadership, and program delivery across multiple branches. Leads facility operations, budgeting, membership growth, fundraising, and public relations; ensures CPR/First Aid/AED certifications are current; responsible for staff payroll, program supervision (including child care, child watch, aquatics, and swim lessons), and adherence to YMCA policies. Coordinates events, reports, and maintains a safe, welcoming environment while executing annual budgets and supporting branch goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Outstanding supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong public relations and interpersonal skills; excellent language/communication/organizational skills
- General clerical and computer skills
- Ability to control, balance, and record financial transactions
- Strong ability to learn new software programs
- Must have knowledge required for management of facilities, equipment, resources, programs and staff
- Must have knowledge required for maintenance and upkeep of facility and equipment
- Current CPR, first aid, and AED certification within 60 days of hire
