Job Summary
This entry-level paid apprenticeship combines customer service with college education, allowing participants to earn an Associate of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Degree at Elgin Community College while working full-time at a Consumer Credit Union branch. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting members, supporting transactions, performing teller tasks, account maintenance, and recommending process improvements. Candidates must have a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old by July 1, 2026, and possess 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing role.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Age 18+ by July 1, 2026
- 1+ year of experience in retail, customer service, guest relations, sales, and cash handling
- Ability to commit to a 40‐hour Monday–Friday schedule
- Acceptance into ECC’s AAS program
