Job Summary
Provide speedy and efficient administrative support in the Branch Administration (Ocho Rios) team to assist the Branch Manager and Financial Advisors in achieving branch objectives. Responsibilities include monitoring advisor conservation as directed, tracking monthly premium payments due versus payments received, investigating missed payments for SD & PAP cases, notifying clients and advisors of missed payments, monitoring critical lists (IP; bounce Cheques), submitting premium queries (salary deduction & PAP policies), following up with operations on queries, managing the branch’s orphan portfolio, performing open-source searches for adverse information prior to risk scoring, preparing and submitting reports within timeframes, dispatching policy contracts, handling branch mail, ensuring adequate stationery supplies, and performing other related duties. Requires at least six O-level subjects including English and a numeric subject, completion of LO MA 1 and 2, two years’ life-insurance experience, proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing, knowledge of Life Insurance principles, strong interpersonal and time-management skills, and effective written and oral communication.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six (6) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects including English Language and a numeric subject.
- Successful completion of LOMA 1 and 2.
- Two (2) years’ work experience in a life insurance company.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Basic knowledge of Life Insurance principles.
- Sound human relations and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
