Job Summary
Brake Press Operator needed to operate and set up CNC brake presses and related metalworking equipment to form parts per blueprints. Read and interpret blueprint specifications, measure parts with Vernier, protractor, tape measure, and micrometer, and adjust equipment to ensure defect-free parts meet specified dimensions. Safely load/unload material with jib cranes, perform routine press maintenance, and adhere to safety PPE protocols. Collaborate with production team to meet goals and timelines. Requires adaptability to changing conditions, ability to read drawings, and strong mechanical/ mathematical skills. Physical duties include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Experience operating metalworking machines; previous brake press experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and engineering drawings
- Ability to read and understand tape measure, protractor and other measuring tools
- Mathematical, mechanical, and technical skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and bend
