Job Summary
Brake Press Operator responsible for operating hydraulic, mechanical, or CNC press brakes to bend, shape, or punch holes per instructions and drawings. Set up tooling and dies, program or adjust CNC controls, run test bends, and fine-tune settings to meet tolerances. Read blueprints and job travelers, verify part quality with calipers and gauges, document scrap and quality issues, and maintain safety practices with PPE. Assist with basic machine maintenance, support other areas as needed, and ensure parts meet specifications during production. Shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, in-person at Battle Creek, MI; starting pay is $20.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- GED/High School Diploma
- 2+ years running a press brake or working in metal fabrication
- Able to read blueprints and work orders
- Comfortable with calipers, angle gauges, and other precision tools
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- CNC machine operation experience preferred
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams (in related sections)
