Job Summary
Brake Operator B responsible for operating various brake machines (sizing, planisher, power brakes) to form flat metal stock, including joggles and angle bends; may finish-form parts using punch press, hydro press, and drop hammer; troubleshoot equipment; assist other operators; maintain clean, safe work area; adhere to safety and quality standards; ITAR/EAR compliance; 2nd shift 3:30pm–2:00am; requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent and/or 1–2 years related experience; reading blueprints and interpreting measurement tools are essential; employer emphasizes equal opportunity and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to apply general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions
- Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- ITAR/EAR compliance awareness or requirement to access restricted facilities
